HEXED began with two people who wanted to create something that felt real.
Tiia brought the sound of the eighties and a deep connection to the land. Antti brought the guitar and the imagery of death metal. We both grew up with fantasy, witchcraft and the occult — drawn to the darker side of things and to long walks through forests and graveyards.
We created HEXED for those who were never made to fit the pink mould. For those who see more in black — and every colour hidden within the grey, unyielding earth.
Our world is dark, elegant, timeless — and true.
Created with Meaning
We do not create to follow what already exists. Every product is given a mythology, a story and a reason to belong within the world of HEXED. We create what we once searched for ourselves — something with identity, purpose and a world to belong to.
Responsibility in Progress
We choose our partners, materials and methods with care. We ask questions, examine the details and never assume that today’s solution is the final one. For us, responsibility is not a finished claim, but a commitment to keep learning, questioning and improving.
Rooted in the North
The North is not merely where we come from. It shapes how we create. We draw inspiration from its forests, seasons and mythology while respecting the land behind them. We take only what is needed and seek to leave as little behind as possible.
The Art of HEXED
HEXED is built through photography, illustration, design, music and moving image. Every piece begins with an idea, a story and a human point of view.
The creative direction of HEXED is led by our Co-Founder and Artistic Director, Antti Isosomppi. Our visual world combines work created within HEXED with contributions from artists including Matti Sinkkonen, [@hologrammmonster] and [@akwan.project].
As the world of HEXED grows, we aim to invite more artists into it and create new opportunities for collaboration across different forms of art.
As an independent brand creating an expansive fantasy world, we combine photography, hand-drawn illustration and human-led design with carefully selected digital and AI-assisted tools. Original photographs and illustrations may be refined or animated as part of our production process, while the concepts, stories, creative direction and final decisions remain in human hands.
We are continuously developing not only the quality of what we create, but also how we create it. We consider the environmental impact of our production, plan each stage carefully and seek more energy-conscious ways of working—from avoiding unnecessary travel and digital iterations to making purposeful choices about the tools we use.
